Summary

Four hardcore heroes。 One high-speed torpedo boat。 Ten thousand bullets!

Lock n' load with the baddest group of mercenaries ever to hit the high seas of Southeast Asia! Aboard their World War II torpedo boat, the Black Lagoon, Dutch the Boss, Benny the Mechanic, Revy Two Hand, and Rock, the salaryman from Japan, deliver anything, anywhere。 In the dangerous underworld of the Russian Mafia, Chinese triads, Colombian drug cartels, crazed assassins, and ruthless mercenaries, it's hard to know who to trust。 But if you've got a delivery to make, and you don't mind a little property damage along the way, you can count on the crew of the Black Lagoon

Disavowed by the Chinese government and now hunted as a traitor, Feng Yifei has turned to Rock and Revy for help。 While dodging the PRC’s four hired guns from one side of Roanapur to the other, Feng presses Rock to make an important decision。 Things get even more complicated when Eda shows an interest in the situation, and if she’s involved, it means the CIA isn’t far behind…

Assassins, stolen cash, and a whole lot of bad people getting what they deserve。 Bang, bang baby。Considering how long it took for the 11th volume to come out I was starting to wonder if we were ever going to get another volume (a sadly common enough situation for manga and other book lovers。) Yet I found hope when I discovered an eleventh volume finally came to be and we got to see the end of "The Wired Red Wild Card" arc nicely wrapped up (as far as I know) within this volume。 In the afterward Assassins, stolen cash, and a whole lot of bad people getting what they deserve。 Bang, bang baby。Considering how long it took for the 11th volume to come out I was starting to wonder if we were ever going to get another volume (a sadly common enough situation for manga and other book lovers。) Yet I found hope when I discovered an eleventh volume finally came to be and we got to see the end of "The Wired Red Wild Card" arc nicely wrapped up (as far as I know) within this volume。 In the afterward we hear from Rei Hiroe about the time between volumes and how without the anime they might not have been able to continue。 Well if they decide to end it right now at least it would not be in the middle of an arc but they also say that Black Lagoon will continue or their plans for their lives will be in trouble regardless of how long it took this volume to come out。All that aside after Feng Yifei turns to the crew of the Black Lagoon for help it is an action packed volume that you can expect as the Chinese government has set its eyes on their treacherous little hacker。 With limited resources and dangerous opponents the clock is ticking away as everyone not only works together but Rock learns a little better about what it means to live in the mean streets。 So yeah no spoilers but Rock made a promise that hopefully won't get the crew in trouble with the CIA。 If you read up to this point buckled in and enjoy the ride。 :) 。。。more

Great plot and I preferred this arc for the shortness mainly。 Whilst I loved the bloodhound arc it got too descriptive in parts。 Looking forward for the next instalment if there is one!

Ah, I think this was improvement when compared to vol。 10。 There was better balance with plot-babbling and action, and this arc wasn't bloated like the Roberta thing。 I also mentioned in vol。 10 thoughts that Rock isn't as compelling as Hiroe tries to make him to be and that's mostly still true but at least in this volume it was less wistful waffling and more proper talk and coming to a conclusion, which was also improvement。 Revy was more to her old form here too。Structure was also less jumpy e Ah, I think this was improvement when compared to vol。 10。 There was better balance with plot-babbling and action, and this arc wasn't bloated like the Roberta thing。 I also mentioned in vol。 10 thoughts that Rock isn't as compelling as Hiroe tries to make him to be and that's mostly still true but at least in this volume it was less wistful waffling and more proper talk and coming to a conclusion, which was also improvement。 Revy was more to her old form here too。Structure was also less jumpy except for a moment here or there。 Better than vol。 10 anyway。 I liked that hacking and cyber crime was an element here, it was different to previous story arcs。 The looong times between volumes and short timespan in the manga's story made me a bit confused when it when it was meant to take place。 Not in our current day anyway。 Can't be helped, I was just pondering about it when they had problems finding place to connect to Internet。Still, the series hasn't suffered that much even if it has taken its time。 Previous volume was a weaker link but this one picked up。 。。。more

4。4/5The second half of the long-awaited Wired Red Wild Card arc comes to a satisfying and entertaining close。 Not much to say here, just that the artwork is still crisp and neat, with Hiroe's transition to digital completely unnoticeable (which is a good thing) and his action scenes are intense, chaotic, and still awesome。 I just hope I don't have to wait another five years to read the next volume! 。。。more

Rock and 'Peking Duck' are on the run from killers, but Rock has a plan。This nicely wraps up the story from Volume 10, and in true Black Lagoon fashion there's LOTS of gunplay, sexy ladies and mayhem。 Greenback Jane even gets some punishment for what she did lasy volume too。 Rock and 'Peking Duck' are on the run from killers, but Rock has a plan。This nicely wraps up the story from Volume 10, and in true Black Lagoon fashion there's LOTS of gunplay, sexy ladies and mayhem。 Greenback Jane even gets some punishment for what she did lasy volume too。 。。。more

I always love this series, but I really missed Dutch and some of the other backup characters。 This one is always a like one big trigger warning, but I was glad Revy destroyed the antagonists who were being absolutely disgusting toward her。 I really love Revy。

After the ridiculously long "El Baile de la Muerte" storyline, it fells good to wrap-up the "The Wired Red Wild Card" plot so (relatively) quickly。 As these stories progress -- albeit with an increasing pace -- I do feel like Hiroe is creating some chances to explore his characters and then totally ignoring them。 I don't mind the focus on Rock and his development in this volume (Dutch doesn't appear once and Benny only appears at the very end), but what about the hints dropped along the way that After the ridiculously long "El Baile de la Muerte" storyline, it fells good to wrap-up the "The Wired Red Wild Card" plot so (relatively) quickly。 As these stories progress -- albeit with an increasing pace -- I do feel like Hiroe is creating some chances to explore his characters and then totally ignoring them。 I don't mind the focus on Rock and his development in this volume (Dutch doesn't appear once and Benny only appears at the very end), but what about the hints dropped along the way that Dutch wasn't really in Vietnam as a patrol boat skipper? There is a lot of wood to chop if Hiroe wants to actually explore the characters and their backstories。。。 。。。more
